In this post i'm going to talk about how our Facebook & Instagram ads for Spotify Growth campaigns for music promotion work, and what you should expect when you place an order. This page also applies to our Spotify Playlist Growth Ads service as well.
Once you place your order we will review your song. If approved we will charge your card, and start working on the visuals for your campaign. We then build your campaign and run it in our ad accounts.
It should take us ~1 week to get your campaign live, and on average campaigns run between 2-5 weeks depending on performance and budget. We do request that you give us Spotify for Artists 'reader' access at support@southworth.media. While not required, we have no way of ensuring your campaign is a success without it.
Where do my ads run?
Most campaigns run using just Instagram placements, but we may include Facebook placements as well if it makes sense for the song.
We use our ad accounts, our pixels, our landing pages and our social media accounts. The social accounts we use feel like fan pages or curator pages, so it feels like someone is recommending your music.
What ad creatives do you use?
For every Meta ad campaign we run we make our own visuals. Often we will tie your song into an interest, hobby or activity, but other times we may create an artwork visualizer.
For example, imagine an aggressive trap song being portrayed as the 'best song for working out' with grungy black and white footage of people lifting weights. Or a folk song set to footage of campfires and road trips.
If you submit your own ad creatives to us we may incorporate those as well, but if we don't feel they'll help we'll use ours instead.
How can I track results for my campaign?
When your campaign starts we will notify you, and then send over a dashboard analytics link. This link shows you the landing page views, conversion, DSP breakdown and country distribution for your campaign. This is where you track 'conversions'.
Additionally you can also see the results coming in Spotify for Artists, and your other analytics platforms for other DSPs.
What DSPs is this for? Is it just Spotify?
Technically these campaigns are for any DSP. By default we include at least Spotify, Apple Music and iTunes but we may include additional platforms.
In most cases over 80% of listeners will go to Spotify, as Spotify is by far the largest DSP in the world right now. As part of your campaign we will be requesting access to your Spotify for Artists, and by default that is the platform we will be monitoring.
If you have certain requirements for which DSPs we include on your landing page, please contact us.
How long will my campaign run?
The length of your campaign varies depending on the size of the campaign and the performance of the campaign. Overall most campaigns run between 3 and 6 weeks.

- $250 Ad Spend: 2-3 weeks
- $500 Ad Spend: 3-4 weeks

Can't I just do this myself?
Yep! We offer this as a service to those that can't, or don't want to run these campaigns themselves, or have never gotten good results. We've taught thousands of artists, managers and labels to run these campaigns for themselves and we can teach you too.
Here's a free video that shows our process from start to finish.
We also offer courses and 1-on-1 consulting over at Genera Studios.
